Children Advancing in School!
Should you advance your child in school if they are ready? Our child's birthday fell on October 1. The public school cut-off date is September 30. We sent her to a private school and they accepted her anyway. She showed all of the signs of being ready, willing to learn, and great socially with other kids. Was this the right thing to do? A child who's birthday fell 3 days later was denied entrance the previous year. Is this right? What are your thoughts?

Each child is different. Brooklynne has an August birthday and was more than ready to start school. Brayden's birthday is September the 27th and I think he is just not mature enough to start school, so I am keeping him in k-4 on more year - plus I would rather him be older instead of younger when he graduates. I think each child needs to be looked out indivually.
